Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Journalscope (journalscope.atesensoftware.com), provided by Samet Ateşen, trading as Atesen Software, Sakarya, Türkiye ("we"). By using Journalscope or buying a licence you accept them.
1. What Journalscope does
Journalscope is browser software for auditors. It reads a general ledger or journal export and, optionally, a trial balance that you provide, checks the completeness of the journal population, applies risk criteria you can configure, scores journals, selects a sample and, with a licence, exports a workpaper. The processing runs in your browser; the files are not sent to us.
2. Free use and licences
- Loading files and viewing results on screen is free.
- A licence unlocks the workpaper (.xlsx) and CSV exports for 12 months from the purchase date, for any number of engagements. Firm: up to 5 auditors in your firm. Practice: up to 25 auditors. Network: any number of auditors in your firm and its offices.
- Licences are for use by your firm's personnel on your firm's engagements and may not be resold, shared outside your firm or published.
3. Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown in USD. In the UK, Ireland, the EU and most other countries VAT is included in the price; in the US and Canada sales tax is added where it applies. Paddle shows the total before you pay. Licences are one-time payments covering 12 months and do not renew automatically.
4. Your responsibility
Journalscope performs data analysis to support your audit procedures. It is not an audit, not audit or legal advice, and does not by itself satisfy any auditing standard. You decide the criteria, test the selected journals, evaluate the results and draw the conclusions. Results depend on the completeness and accuracy of the files you load and on the column mapping and settings you choose. Check the output before you rely on it.
5. Availability and changes
We may improve, change or discontinue features. A licence you bought keeps its export access for its 12-month term. Workpapers you exported remain yours.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Journalscope is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including regulatory sanctions, claims against your firm or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Refunds
See the refund policy: 14-day money-back guarantee.
